As a 501(c)(3) charitable, New Mexico nonprofit scientific and research organization, NMCCA depends upon donors to help us reach our goals of bringing cancer clinical trials and educational programs to New Mexicans.
Our Helping to Enhance Research in Oncology(SM) Programs [also known as our HERO Programs] range from educational, awareness and recognition events for the public to educational seminars for medical professionals. All events are designed to bring the most up-to-date information about cancer clinical research to New Mexicans.
NMCCA's research program involves a tremendous amount of government regulatory documentation, review and investigation to ensure that any clinical research study opened by NMCCA for its participating physicians is scientifically and ethically sound.
If you would like to donate to an NMCCA program, please let us know! A description of our various programs appears below.
Individuals can send a tax-deductible donation directly to our offices at:
P.O. Box 4428
Albuquerque, NM 87196-4428

If you prefer to donate with a credit card, please click the "Network for Good" link below.
If your workplace giving program includes a Community Health Charities Combined Federal Campaign or United Way campaign, you may designate NMCCA to receive a donation.
NMCCA's Combined Federal Campaign Number is:
93229
If you would like to donate through your workplace's United Way campaign, please designate all or part of your contribution to New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance.
Finally, if you like to shop on-line, check out www.giveline.com.
"Giveline.com is an online store created for the community-minded shopper, offering more than a million best-selling products such as books, movies, music, electronics, house wares, gifts and more. Every purchase generates a donation to New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance - an average of 16% of store sales, sometimes as high as 33%. The only difference between Giveline and other major online retailers is that every purchase earns money for our organization. Check it out today, and if you decide to buy, remember that New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance will earn significant funds in support of our mission!"
Although NMCCA appreciates the thoughtfulness of potential donors from throughout the United States, at this time, we are only able to accept donations from residents of New Mexico.
Thank you for considering New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance.
Public Education Programs
Pink Shawl Project Luncheon & Powwow:
An annual event first held in February 2007, the next Pink Shawl Project will expand to include seminars for interested breast cancer patients and their families as well as for medical professionals. Breast cancer patients attended free in 2007 and, with your help, we can continue that tradition in 2008.
Pathways to Progress:
An annual event co-sponsored with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (New Mexico/El Paso Chapter) to bring general news about clinical research studies and specific news about the latest research in leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma to interested people. This event is free for all attendees.
Recognition Event:
NMCCA's HERO Recognition Breakfast. The Breakfast is held every 18 months for any New Mexican who has participated in a NMCCA-opened cancer clinical research study. NMCCA brings in a leading researcher to discuss the latest trends in cancer treatment. Study participants and two family members attend free. The most recent Recognition Breakfast took place on February 15, 2008.
